Background
Designed by Curtiss as a scout seaplane designed for the U.S. Navy (USN). The Seahawk was a replacement for the SO3C Seamew and OS2U Kingfisher. Designed during 1944, the first production aircraft were delivered in late October 1944 and only saw limited use in the Pacific War.
