Pilot SubLt Ronald James Coleman, RAN (MIA / KIA) MIA January 2, 1952 Aircraft History Built by Hawker. During 1950, delivered to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) as Sea Fury serial number WE686. Assigned to 805 Squadron aboard HMAS Sydney during the Korean War. Mission History On January 2, 1952 in the morning took off from HMAS Sydney on a mission. When this plane failed to return it was officially listed as Missing In Action (MIA). Memorials Coleman was officially declared dead the day of the mission. He is commemorated at the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK) on the Wall of Remembrance, panel 1.
