Aircraft History Built by Northrop. Constructors Number T.6192. Delivered to the U.S. Air Force (USAF) as T-38A-75-NO Talon serial number 68-8187. Later, converted into a T-38C with structural and avionics upgrades. The tail has "AF 68-187". During 1972, assigned to Air Training Command (ATC), 38th Fighter Tactics and Air-to-Air Weapons Group (38th FTAWG) based at Laredo. Assigned to the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and used for pilot training. During 2015, assigned to the 14th Flying Training Wing (14th FTW), 50th Flying Training Squadron (50th FTS) at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. Painted in a two tone color scheme of dark gray and light gray. Tail code CB 140G in white with the AETC logo above and at the top of the tail a horizontal tail stripe with "Strikin' Snakes" with a snake mascot and yellow border line above and below, the motif of the 50th Flying Training Squadron (50th FTS).
