Aircraft History Built by Northrop Aircraft Inc. under contract for Vultee. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-31C-1-VN Vengeance serial number 41-31051. Assigned to the Royal Air Force (RAF) as serial number EZ999. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia. Wartime History Delivered to Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Vengeance Mark IA serial number A27-99. During June 1943 assigned to 2 Air Depot (2 AD). No known nickname or nose art. Postwar During April 1948, transferred to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for ground instruction, but order was canceled prior to delivery. Instead, delivered to Sydney Technical College School of Aircraft Engineering for apprentice training and used until May 1963. Afterwards, stored privately until January 1965. Display This Vengeance is displayed at Camden Aviation Museum. This plane is the only complete Vengeance in the world.
