Location Wallgrove Airfield is located at Doonside, west of Sydney in New South Wales in Australia. Also known as Doonside Airfield. Construction Built during 1942 as a satelite and emergency strip, then abandoned in the later 1940s. Rod Mountford reports: "Remains of the strip are still there as are some of the taxiways and some revetments, made of trees. Most of it remains today (until developers move in). It was only an emergency/satellite strip and was given back in the late 1940s to the original land owners." Contribute
