(14th AF) P-51s hit railroad targets of opportunity on sweeps Peking

January 23, 1945
(14th AF) P-51s and P-40s on armed reconnaissance attack targets of opportunity as far north as Peking.

February 9, 1945
(14th AF) Three fighters on a railroad sweep destroy several locomotives between Peking

March 17, 1945
(14th AF) B-25 and 12 P-51s damage 21 locomotives and a river launch in the Peking area

June 6, 1945
(14th AF) B-25s and 9 P-51s hit targets including Peking

June 16, 1945
(14th AF) P-51s attack targets around Peking

June 19, 1945
(14th AF) 5 B-25s and 4 P-47s knock out a bridge on the Pinghan railroad spanning from Hankow to Peking

June 23, 1945
(14th AF) 17 fighters strafe railroad targets and river traffic around Peking and other targets

July 29, 1945
(14th AF) P-51s, P-38s, and P-61s attack a variety of targets over a vast area from Haiphong to Peking.

August 27, 1945
(20th AF) B-29s begin supplying prisoners-of-war and internee camps in China with medical supplies, food, and clothing. The first supply drop (to Weihsien Camp near Peking) is followed by a concentrated effort of 900 sorties in a period of less than a month. 4,470 tons of supplies are dropped to about 63,500 prisoners in 154 camps.
