Location Lat 0° 9' 3S Long 109° 24' 14E Pontianak Airfield is located at Pontianak (Pontijanak) in West Kalimantan Province (Kalimantan Barat) in western Borneo in Indonesia. Today known as Supadio Airport. Wartime History Used by the Japanese as a military airfield. Starting in early June 1945 until early August 1945 bombed by American aircraft to neutralize the runway. American missions against Pontianak Airfield June 2, 1945–August 1, 1945 Today Still in use today as Supadio Airport. The single runway is oriented 33/15 measures 7,380' x 98' surfaced with asphalt.
