(20th AF) Mission 169: eleven B-29s from 6th BG bomb Nittagahara Airfield and encounter heavy anti-aircraft fire that was meager and inaccurate result in bomb craters on the south portion of the runway that were not filled in afterwards but the runway was deemed to remain operative.
