Location
Lat 3° 6' 0" Long 101° 42' 0"  Kuala Lumpur Airfield is located at Kuala Lumpur on the Malayan Peninsula in the Federal Territories of Malaysia. Today, known as Sempang Airport, TUDM Kuala Lumpur, Tentera Udara Diraja Malysia Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Besi Airport or Sempang Air Force Base or simply Old Airport.

Construction
Built prewar by the British.

Wartime History
During World War II, occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War.

American missions against Kuala Lumpur
January 28, 1942 - March 10, 1945

Postwar
Between 1952 to 1965 known as Kuala Lumpur International Airport serving Kuala Lumpur until the opening of Subang International Airport (Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport or Subang Skypark) and later the construction of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Afterwards, this airport became known as the "Old Airport".

Today
Still in use today as Simpang Airport. The airport has two runways. The first is oriented 21/03 measures 517' x 97' surfaced with graded earth. The second is oriented 22/04 measures 6,205' x 148' surfaced with asphalt. Airport code ICAO: WMKF.
