(Australian Navy) HMAS Manoora (F48) intercepted Italian merchant ship Romolo and scuttled her off Nauru.

(Kriegsmarine) German Raider Komet bombarded the phosphate mine damaging the cantilever loading wharf, oil tanks and other facilities.

(IJN) Nine Japanese twin-engined bombers hit Nauru, destroying a clinic.

(13th AF) Lost on a reconnaissance mission over Nauru is B-17F "My Lovin' Dove" 41-24450 (crew rescued 50 days later).

(7th AF) B-24's bomb Nauru Airfield.

April 20, 1943
(7th AF) 22 B-24s carry out a photo-bombing mission over Nauru. Several direct hits on Nauru Airfield runways and the dispersal areas are claimed.

(USN) USS Scamp SS-277 performs a reconnaissance of Ocean Island and Nauru Island completed by April 27, 1943.

(7th AF) During the night of June 18-19 B-24s bomb Nauru.

June 28, 1943
(7th AF) A bombing mission against Nauru is hampered by engine trouble and bad weather, only two B-24s bomb the target with unobserved results.

(7th AF) B-24's bomb Naru Airfield and attack a phosphate plant and radio station on Nauru.

(7th AF) B-24's from Funafuti Atoll and Nanumea in the Ellice bomb Nauru in the Gilberts.

(USN) A striking force of two carriers including USS Monterey (CVL-26), six battleships including USS Massachusetts BB-59, and twelve destroyers bombed and bombarded enemy installations on Nauru. Shot down by anti-aircraft fire over Nauru are F6F Hellcat 26088 and TBF Avenger 47589 (rescued).
