American missions against Alicante and Alicante Airfield

October 19, 1944
(USN) Four planes from VF-35 conduct a fighter sweep over Negros. They destroyed 5 planes and damaged 6 others on the ground besides inflicting other serious damage. Over Saravia Airfield (Alicante) intense anti-aircraft fire shot down F6F Hellcat 42551 piloted by Ensign Jesse O. Kennedy (KIA). Hit at a low altitude, the plane crashed into the water and there was no survivor observed.

(FEAF) B-24s and fighter-bombers hit Alicante.

November 3, 1944
(FEAF) B-25s bomb Alicante Airfield.

November 4, 1944
(FEAF) B-24s pound Alicante Airfield.

November 7, 1944
(FEAF) B-24s and fighter-bombers hit Alicante.

November 8, 1944
(FEAF) B-24s hit Alicante Airfield. Japanese fighters shoot down B-24L 44-41421 pilot 1st Lt. Walter A. Scalese (KIA). Damaged is B-24J 44-41264 pilot 1st Lt. Kenneth C. Sanderson and later lost (crew survived).

November 12, 1944
(FEAF) B-24s hit Alicante Airfield.

November 19, 1944
(FEAF) B-24s bomb Alicante.

December 19, 1944
(FEAF) Fighter-supported B-25s bomb hit Alicante Airfield.
