Zablan Field Memorial at AFP Museum at Zablan Airfield
The plaque reads: "In commemoration of the first constructed military airfield manned by the Philippine Constabulary Air Corps (PCAC). Intended primarily for pilot training, the airfield was later named in honor of Major Porfirio E. Zablan who died on 17 June 1935 while undergoing advanced flying training in the United States in preparation for his becoming the first PCAC Commanding Officer. Unveiled on the occasion of the Philippine Air Force 50th Anniversary celebration at General Headquarters, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on the 1st of July in the year of our lord nineteen hundred and ninety-seven."
