American missions against DeBoyne Lagoon

May 10, 1942
(5th AF) A single B-17 attack shipping and seaplanes at Deboyne.

May 9, 1942
(5th AF) Five B-26s from the 22nd Bomb Group armed with 1,000 pound bombs on bombing mission (PM 1) target Japanese ships and seaplanes near Deboyne and afterwards land at Garbutt Field by 5:55pm. Meanwhile, a single B-17 attack shipping and seaplanes at Deboyne.

May 10, 1942
(5th AF) B-25 Mtichells from the 3rd Bomb Group hit seaplane base at Deboyne. They attack moored aircraft north of Nivani, leaving one sinking. B-25C El Diablo" 41-12511 (crew rescued) crash lands on the return flight near Samarai. Eight B-26 Marauders from the 22nd Bomb Group (22nd BG) attack Deboyne. Lost is B-26 Marauder 40-1402 (MIA).

May 15, 1942
