The Japanese aircraft wreckage pushed off the side of Lae Airfield runway including the front half of an A6M3 Zero with Hinomaru insignia and the tail of a G3M Nell and to the right D3A Val with the propeller removed on a fuel drum. In the background is a parked C-47 Dakota and another C-47 Dakota after take off. Beyond is Chinatown Hill in Lae.
