Location
Mogei Airfield was the second airfield built in the area that would later become the town of Mount Hagen in Western Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea. Also known as Mogai Airfield, Mogai Drome or Mogai Aerodrome.

Construction
Built during 1934, as the second landing ground built at Mount Hagen. On April 1, 1934 the first aircraft to land at this runway was piloted by Charles R. Gurney who departed the next day transporting mail. Soon afterwards, a new airfield was established to the east that became Mount Hagen Airfield (Mt. Hagen Airfield). Disused after the construction of Mount Hagen Airfield (Mt. Hagen Airfield).

Wartime History
At the start of the Pacific War, this former airfield was possibly listed as an "auxiliary airfield" and had obstructions placed over the former runway to prevent any aircraft from potentially landing.

Today
The former runway became main street in the Chinatown area of Mount Hagen.
