Location Lat 5° 29' 29S 143° 43' 12E Wabag Airfield is located at an elevation of 6,800' above sea level to the west of Wabag. Today located in Enga Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Construction Built prewar with a single runway. During 1938, Ford Trimotor VH-UTB was the first aircraft to land at this location to deliver supplies for the Taylor and Black expedition. Wartime History During 1943–1944 used by Allied liaison planes to supply the Highlands. Today Still in use today as Wabag Airport. Airport code IATA: WAB. Contribute
