| Location Lat 10°18'60.00"S Long 150°15'0.00"E Waigani Airfield was located near Waigani village to the west of Milne Bay. Also known as the unnamed airfield or airfield was unnamed, or sometimes known as "No. 2 Strip" or "Waigani Airfield". Construction Built by the Allies, this airstrip was known as simply No. 2 Strip. The runway suffered drainage problems that prevented it from being properly used as an airfield. Today This airfield was disused since the war and is overgrown or paved over by a road and part of an oil palm plantation. Contribute
