Location Lat 50° 46' 0" N Long 156° 15' 0" E Bettobi Airfield was located at Bettobi on the northern coast of Shumshu Island. Borders Bettobi-numa. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of Japan. Between August 15, 1945 until December 26, 1991 part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Today located in Sakhalin Oblast in Russia. Wartime History Bettobi Airfield was a wartime landing ground without all weather runway and without complete facilities.
