"The Pagoda" side view at Henderson Field on Guadalcanal Peter Flahavin adds: "This photo was taken sometime after October 6, 1942 I used to write to Aubrey Buser, who is in the middle of the three guys sitting on the right, without the shirt. He said it was unwritten law that the seats on the right were for enlisted men and those of the left for officers. Aubrey still has a souvenir piece of pagoda roofing."
