| Location Takao Airfield is located near Takao (Kaohsiung) on the southwest coast of Taiwan (Formosa) in the Southern Taiwan Region. Today known as Kaohsiung Airport or Kaohsiung International Airport. Wartime History Takao Airfield was used by the Japanese as a military airfield the duration of the Pacific War.
