Location
Lat 18° 46' 0N Long 98° 57' 45E  Chiang Mai Airfield is located at an elevation of 1,035' above sea level. To the north one mile away is Chiang Mai. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of Siam. Still in use today as Chiang Mai Airport or Chiang Mai International Airport a dual civilian and military airport in Chiang Mai Province in Thailand.

Wartime History
During 1942, the American Volunteer Group (AVG) "Flying Tigers" operated from this location.

Today
Still in use today as Chiang Mai Airport or Chiang Mai International Airport. The single runway is oriented 36/18 measures 10,171' x 148' surfaced with asphalt. Airport codes: ICAO: VTCC IATA: CNX.

During August 2000 US Army CILHI survey observed at least three P-40 wrecks in the vicinity of the airport.
