Location
Lat 47° 31' 48N Long 122° 18' 7W  Boeing Field is located at an elevation of 21' above sea level in Seattle in Washington State in the United States. Today known as King County Airport or King County International Airport.

Construction
In 1928 opened as a municipal airport, air freight terminal for industries in the region and as a delivery facility for aircraft built by Boeing Company. The airfield was Seattle's main passenger until the late 1940s when Seattle-Tacoma International Airport opened.

Wartime History
During World War II, Boeing Field was taken over by the U.S. Government and was a delivery facility for aircraft built by Boeing and accepted by the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) and were flown by Army pilots elsewhere.

Today
Still in use today as King County Airport or King County International Airport. The airport has two runways. The first is oriented 31L/13R measures 10,000' x 200' surfaced with asphalt. The second runway is oriented 31R/13L measures 3,710' x 100' surfaced with asphalt. Airport Codes: FAA: BFI ICAO: KBFI IATA: BFI.

Boeing continues to use the field for testing and delivery of its airplanes, and it is still a major regional cargo hub. It is also the regional selected landing zone for Air Force One when it visits the Seattle area.
