Location Lat 58° 21' 18N Long 134° 34' 35W Juneau Field is located seven miles northwest of Juneau in Alaska in the United States. Construction Built during 1941 as a civilian airport. On July 1, 1941 Juneau Field was officially opened. Wartime History During the Pacific War, used as a military refueling stop for planes bound for Elmendorf Field. Today Still in use today as Juneau International Airport (Juneau Airport) as a regional airport. The single runway is oriented 26/08 measures 8,457' x 150' surfaced with asphalt.
