The signs read "Strip 3" Nadzab Airfield No. 3, "Strip 1" Nadzab Airfield No. 1, ADVON Road (Advanced Echelon Road), No. Strip WDS Nadzab Station, 839th Engineer, Bomb Dump Area, 100 Octane dump, All bomb dumps, Gas Dump #3, Q.M. Dump (Quartermasters Dump), Hospitals, Gas Dump, 1006th Eng. Dump, 52nd Photo Wing and many other signs. The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) personnel are Sgt Bernard N. Nalty, 27173 of Glandore, SA and Warrant Officer I. Armstrong of Sydney, NSW.
