RAAF: Crashed is Anson AX420 (KIA) roughly 15 miles north of the Gunning-Crookwell Road, NSW.

Philippines: Filipino guerrillas led by Lt. Severino Antiporda attack and captured the Japanese garrison in Tayug. The guerrillas hoisted the Philippine and American flags in the municipal building. The Japanese counterattacked on May 3, 1942. The guerrillas defended for nine day until they were defeated on May 11, 1942. Afterwards, the Japanese burned the town and executed residents suspected as sympathetic to the guerrillas.
