AMERICAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS ALASKA (Eleventh Air Force): Weather reconnaissance
aircraft reports a asubmarine at 52-08N 177-21 W. US Navy aircraft later
makes contact and drop depth charges, results of the attack are unknown.
SOUTH PACIFIC AREA (SOPAC, Joint Chiefs of Staff): Henderson Field on Guadalcanal is out of operation again as result of enemy action.
RAAF: six Beauforts from the squadron took off on a bombing training mission armed with practice bombs and made a mock torpedo attack over Townsville Harbor then practiced dive bombing attacks against the the City of Adelaide shipwreck. Lost is Beaufort A9-26 (KIA) when it accidentally crashed near the shipwreck.
