FRIDAY, 28 September 1945

RAAF: Walrus X9515 assigned to 2 CRD and placed into storage until March 1949 when auction ultimate fate unknown.

Australian Army: Explosives disable Type 95 Ha Go (No. 1) and Type 95 Ha Go (No. 2) at Kahili Airfield (Buin) on southern Bougainville. At Rapopo Airfield, forty Japanese tanks including Type 97 Chi-Ha Shinhoto and Type 97 Te-Ke Tankette surrendered to the Australia Army 2/4 Armoured Regiment.
