Operation Crossroads: the second atomic test at Bikini Atoll was code named test "Baker" on July 25, 1946 was an underwater test at 8:35am with the weapon suspended below LSM-60 at a depth of 90', halfway to the 180' bottom. Sunk was LSM-60, USS Saratoga (CV-3) severely damaged sank 7 hours 30 minutes later and USS Apogon SS-308.
