Cleatos L. James Dog Tag
Dog Tag discovered on Guadalcanal by Peter Flahavin who got his tag from some villagers at the western end of Henderson Field, down by the Lunga River.
Research by Francesca Cumero:
"I just found the step son of Cleatos L. James. His name is Richard Sigler and he is from Columbus Grove, OH. Cleatos served in the Ohio National Guard as an infantryman, according to his enlistment records. He enlisted in 1940. Cleatos died in 1979. Cleatos has no other living relatives and Richard knows nothing more about his WWII service. I'll try to do some research for him on the Ohio National Guard."
