Wartime History
Used by the Japanese Army in the Wewak area and abandoned.
Wreckage
Collected by Roy Worchester and displayed at Roy Worchester Collection at Wewak until his death.
Display
Acquired from the Roy Worchester Collection and during the late 1970s transported to Port Moresby and is displayed at the PNG Museum missing the shield.
Bruce Hoy adds:
"it is recorded in the accession register. The weapon came from Wewak and was originally part of the Worcester Collection. I cannot recall whether it had its shield at the time or not. The 70mm and 37mm were slotted to go into the expanded display gallery together with the tail of the P-39 as well as the Dodge and torpedo."
