Technical Information
Background
The Japanese Army 75mm Mountain Gun Type 94 (1934) was designed as a replacement for the 75mm Mountain Gun Type 41 (1908). This weapon could be rapidly disassembled into eleven sections, and transported in six pack loads, the heaviest being 210 pounds. The gun was mounted on wooden wheels with split trail ending on spade ends. This mountain gun was a direct fire weapon, a disadvantage for mountainous terrain.
