Japanese 76.2mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 3 (1914) 8cm High Angle Gun
Technical Information

Background
The Japanese 76.2mm anti-aircraft gun Type 3 (1914) was the principal Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) anti-aircraft and naval gun. Also known as a 76.2mm Naval Gun or 8cm High Angle Gun. Also known as Navy dual-purpose gun (improved) gun.

This gun was based on a British Armstrong gun design and used on many smaller vessels and warships built before World War II. Originally designed as a shipboard weapon, it was widely used land based. This gun was deemed to be inferior to the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) 75mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 88 (1928) in terms of muzzle velocity, veritcal range and horizontal range.
