Agattu Island is located at the eastern end of the Near Island Group (Near Islands) in the Aleutian Islands Chain (Aleutian Islands) in Alaska in the United States.

Agattu Island was never fortified by the United States. During June-July 1942, MacDonald Bay was briefly occupied
by Japanese warships.

Located on the northeastern corner of Agattu Island.
Wartime History
On June 18, 1942 fleeing American air attacks against Kiska, seaplane tenders Kamikawa Maru and Kimikawa Maru, taking refuge at this location. On July 2-3, 1943 B-24 bomb Japanese ships at Agattu including Kimikawa Maru, Kamikawa Maru, Fujisan Maru plus six destroyers.
