Location
Victoria is a a state in Australia. Borders New South Wales (NSW) to the north, the Tasman Sea to the east, South Australia (SA) to the west and the by Bass Strait and Tasmania (TAS) to the south.

Wartime History
During during World War II, there were at least 355 military aircraft crashes recorded in Victoria, most as a result of training incidents and accidents. Heritage Victoria protects all aircraft crash sites over 50 years old as historic archaeological sites.
