Location Lat 5° 46' 56S Long 154° 45' 6E Kunua village is located at an elevation of 164' / 49m near the northwest coast of Bougainville. Also known as Sarime or Konua. Today located in Kunua Rural LLG of Northern Bougainville District in Autonomous Region of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Prewar Sarime Plantation was planted with coconut palms harvesting copra. Wartime History Occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the war. On December 1, 1943 six B-25's bombed Sarime Plantation. P-39Q Airacobra 42-20107 Pilot Brown crashed February 22, 1944 wreckage found afterwards and remains recovered Contribute
