Location
Huwei is located in Yunlin County on Taiwan (Formosa) in the Western Taiwan Region. Located inland from the western coast. During the Japanese colonial era and the Pacific War known as Kobi (pronounced "Kobe"). Today known as Huwei or Hu-wei. In Chinese known as 虎尾鎮.

Wartime History
During World War II, Kobi was occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War until the official surrender of Japan in September 1945. During 1945, attacked by American fighters and bombers.
