Japanese bomb crater near railroad tracks and buildings at the Port of Calcutta of Calcutta (Kolkata) in India
The bomb was dropped during the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) air raid against Calcutta on December 5, 1943. Beyond is a Liberty Ship docked at the Port of Calcutta, possibly U.S. freighter SS William Whipple that was straddled by bombs and holed with fragments.
