(USN) Task Force 58 (TF 58) SB2C Helldivers attack a 2000 ton AK at anchor off Sarmi Point. 6 bombs were dropped and 3 were very close on the second pass the AK was settling by the stern and verified sunk by other Navy aircraft in the area. Reference: Dauntless Helldivers by Harold Buell page 269.
