Lat 8° 14' 51S Long 130° 53' 13E Lingar is located at the center southern coast of Selaru Island (Selaroe) in the Tanimbar Island Group (Tanimbar Islands). Also known as Lingat. Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the Netherlands East Indies (NEI). Today located in Maluku Province (Provinsi Maluku) in Indonesia.
