Location
The Carstenz Range (Carstenz Mountain Range) in located in the center western New Guinea. PT Freeport’s Grasberg mine, the biggest gold deposit and the third-largest copper deposit in the world is located in this range. Between 1963-2002 part of Irian Jaya. Today part of Puncak Jaya Regency of Papua Province (Irian Jaya) in Indonesia.
