Location Prewar, Borneo was divided between the Dutch and British into three regions: Sarawak, North Borneo and Borneo. Today, the northern and western parts of Borneo are known as Malaysian Borneo or East Malaysia part of Malaysia. The southern portion is "Indonesian Borneo" part of Indonesia. A small area on the northwest Borneo is Brunei (Sultanate of Brunei). Malaysia Borneo (East Malaysia) Sarawak State city and airfield on the northwestern coast.
