    Liaoning Province (Liáoníng, 辽宁)  Manchuria (Manchukuo) | China
Location
Liaoning Province located in northeastern Manchuria in China. Borders North Korea to the east. To the south is the Yellow Sea. To the northeast is Jilin Province and to the west Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia to the northwest. In the early 1900s known as Fengtian Province. Between 1932–1945 part of Manchuko (Empire of Manchukuo). Today part of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Wartime History
In 1932, present-day Liaoning Province was part of Manchukuo. Known as the "Liaoning Region".

Liaoning Province
Mukden (Fengtian, Shenyang)  located on the western edge of Liaoning Province.
Dairen (Dalian, Dàlián)  borders Dairen Bay in the Dairen Region.
Gaizhou (Gàizhōu, 盖州, 蓋州, Gaixian, Gaiping, Kaiping)  located at the south of Liaoning Province.
Anshan (Ānshān, 鞍山)  inland city in central southeast of Liaoning Province.
