Location Fife Bay is located on the southern coast of New Guinea. Eagle Point separates Mullins Harbor and Fife Bay. Located to the southwest of Milne Bay. Prewar and during the Pacific War, located in the Territory of Papua. Today Fife Bay District is located in Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Prewar Fife Bay was the colonial headquarters of the Fife Bay District. Wartime History During World War II, ANGAU controlled the Fife Bay area. In early 1942 ANGAU officer Captain 'Mac' Rich was based in the area. In late April 1942, he aided the survivors of B-25 Mitchells that ditched and crashed in the vicinity and helped them to reach Milne Bay to return to duty. History Today, Fife Bay is a government station is located in Fife Bay District.
