Location
Gahora Bay is located at the western end of Milne Bay on the north coast of New Guinea. Borders Ladava to the east. To the south is the Gili Gili Anchorage and Gabugabuna Bay.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, used as an anchorage for the Ladava US Navy Base. During 1943, USN 84th Construction Battalion "Seabees" based at Ladava constructed shore facilities bordering Gahra Bay.
