    Ioma Oro Province Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Location
Lat 8° 22' 0S Long 147° 49' 60E  Ioma is an inland village an elevation of 426'. Pronounced "Yo-ma". Ioma is located to the west of the Mambare River (Mamba River) and north of the Tamata River.

Wartime History
During February 1942, an Australian Army spotter station was established at Ioma, manned by Bald, Iwin and O'Connor. After the Kokoda campaign, additional stations were established at Koga and Garima, all linked to Port Moresby.

During the Buna-Gona-Sanananda campagin, RAAF Hudsons from 6 Squadron air dropped supplies at Ioma.
