Location
Lat 4° 13' 0S Long 152° 25' 60E  Rakanda is located on the southwest corner of Duke of York Island in the Duke of York Island Group (Duke of York Islands) in East New Britain Province in Papua New Guinea (PNG). To the east is the Saint Georges Channel. To the west is Rabaul. Also spelled "Rakanda" or "Rakunda".
