Location
Shirinki Strait is located between Shirinki Island to the east and Paramushir Island to the west in the Kurile Islands. The strait is roughly 15km in width. Also known as Shirinki Kaikyo. Also known as Luzhin Strait or the Third Kuril Strait. Prewar and during World War II, part of Japan. Postwar, part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Today located in Sakhalin Oblast in Russia.
