Location
Lat 16° 4' 29N Long 108° 13' 26E  Da Nang is located an elevation of 26' / 7m above sea level and is a port city and municipality in the South Central Highlands Region of Vietnam. During the French colonial era, known as Tourane or Turon in French Indochina (Indo-China). Today known as Da Nang, Da Nang City or Danang as a municipality in Vietnam. In Vietnamese spelled Đà Nẵng. Today, Da Nang is the country's fourth largest city under the direct administration by the central government.

Wartime History
During 1941, occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War. Starting in late February 1945 attacked by American aircraft until August 1945. Occupied by the Japanese until the official surrender of Japan.
