Location Lat 16° 4' 29N Long 108° 13' 26E Da Nang is located an elevation of 26' / 7m above sea level and is a port city and municipality in the South Central Highlands Region of Vietnam. During the French colonial era, known as Tourane or Turon in French Indochina (Indo-China). Today known as Da Nang, Da Nang City or Danang as a municipality in Vietnam. In Vietnamese spelled Đà Nẵng. Today, Da Nang is the country's fourth largest city under the direct administration by the central government.
