Lat 20° 57' 2N Long 107° 4' 24E Ha Long is a the provincial capital of Quảng Ninh Province in the Northeast Region of Vietnam. Spelled "Hạ Long" in Vietnamese. Also known as Halong, Ha Long or Thanh Pho Ha Long. Borders Ha Long Bay (Hạ Long Bay).

Ha Long was occupied by the Japanese for the duration of the Pacific War.
