Location Lat 16° 27' 43N Long 107° 35' 44E Hue is located at an elevation of 26' / 7m above sea level inland from the eastern coast of central Vietnam. In Vietnamese spelled Huế. Prewar and during the Pacific War part of French Indochina (Indo-China). During the Vietnam War located in South Vietnam. Today known as City of Hue located in Thừa Thiên–Huế Province (Thua Thien-Hue Province) in the North Central Coast Region of Vietnam. The battle included Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps against the North Vietnamese People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) and the Viet Cong (VC).
